Deck - Day 6, the end of days...

Ok, this is almost over, I swear!! Everything is done except for 1 railing (they ran out of ballusters). Hopefully they'll have the parts in so it can be done tomorrow (Friday). Then we can move the BBQ and table up. At least all the equipment and mess is gone from the yard. Since most of the construction took place in the rain, our grass took a real beating. BBQ at our place next weekend!!

Deck, Day 5...

Deck building continues... Today was finishing up most of the railings, finishing the boards on the deck, and putting lights in the stairs. They might be able to finish tomorrow. There is one more railing to do, do the skirt, finish the wiring, and put more screws in the floor (only half done now).

Deck - Day 4

End of Day 4 - Posts done, stairs almost complete. Tomorrow should be railings and skirt. Hopefully more if the weather is nice for a change...

Deck, Part 3 (cont.)

Pics from the end of Day 3. Most of the deck laid, posts going up. You can see the lights hanging from some of the posts. The posts were ripped in half with a small grove in the middle to run the wiring for the lights.

By the way, all this work was done in the cold rain. At times it even hailed (pellets about the size of rice). Fun fun fun...
