Microsoft Research Group Shot

Just started testing out a cool photo tool: Microsoft Research Group Shot

Group Shot creates a composite image from a series of photos. The photos must be of the same scene, taken from the same point of view within a short period of time. The application uses regions that you indicate to build a composite image automatically.

Here is an example that I just did: two shots, of course I can't ever get all 3 of them to look at the camera at the same time... :-)

After mucking around with Group Shot, and choosing the right sections from each picture, this is what it came out with:

Not bad! I'll have to look through older group shots and see if any of them can be improved.

Pachelbel Bedtime

This video is awesome, and we can *totally* relate! "AHHH! She's staring right at me!"... LOL!

Wow... Don't these people have jobs? Over 1100 people, and changing colors only by their clothing. NUTS!

Very interesting video. Worth a listen. Yes, the logic is simplified into a simple truth table, but still the logic holds true in my opinion...

Leah sticks her head outside tonight and sees this sign on our lawn... *Someone* put the sign up in our front yard... Checking out his website, this Jim Chapman is running in London. (I'm no fan of the PC's by the way) Too funny!!

 

Ontario Place

Last weekend we made a quick stop to Ontario Place with Donna (before helping her set up her new laptop). Not as exciting as MarineLand, but there we no line-ups, so that counts for something. :-)

Abby's first day at school

Abby has started preschool at the Montessori school. She's been doing *really* well, and didn't cry at all on her first day. Here is a picture of me picking her up. She's also fully toilet trained now!! WOOHOO!!! It look a looong time, but she's doing really well. What a big girl!

 

Marineland

Yesterday we piled in the van once more and headed to Niagara Falls - this time to Marineland. We had a *great* time! Sarah and Abby went on all the kids' rides, and loved them. Since we were always 3 (One of us had to stay with Jessie), Sarah had to go by herself on most of the rides. She did fantastic, and never got scared. She even went on the giant swing (which was not even in the "Family" rides, but rather the "Thrill" rides. We were so proud of all of them. They saw all the attractions too. After 6 non-stop hours at the park, we headed for dinner in St. Catherine's, then home.

Trip to the Falls

Yesterday we took a day trip to Niagara Falls. Traffic going and coming back were brutal, and I am convinced people there should all have their licenses revoked. Nuts!! Oh well, we saw the falls then had a hugely overpriced dinner at TGIFridays.

Rainbows

Leah took these pictures of a double-sided rainbow (or is it a "full" rainbow?). There had been a really wicked downpour (there had been some tornado warnings nearby), and this rainbow popped up right after the worst of it.

 

 

 

Soccer

Sarah had her first soccer practice/game this morning! She was very nervous at first, but once they had their uniforms on and a ball at their feet, she was off laughing and having fun. She did very well for her first time! We're not quite sure of the team name (they were all discussing it during snacks), but its something like the "White Princesses" or something. :-)
